Police have registered a case under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arms Act, including sections related to illegal use and possession of firearms.

According to police information, a group of five friends had visited a house in Kazur belonging to a friend’s sister when the incident occurred. During the visit, the firearm was allegedly used, resulting in Tanvi’s death.

When media visited the house on Monday, family members stated that they were not present at the time of the incident and had gone out. They also claimed that relatives were at the house, and they were unaware of their presence.

The case has raised several critical questions, including how the firearm was brought into the house, whether it was legally licensed, and why it was left accessible in the absence of the family. Investigators are also probing whether the incident was accidental or involved foul play.
