Goa’s Art & Culture Department Directs Cultural Centres to Play ‘Vande Mataram’ Before All Events Till Nov 2026

The Directorate of Art and Culture (A&C) has issued a directive instructing all major cultural institutions in Goa to play the short version of ‘Vande Mataram’ at the beginning of every programme or event until November 2026.

The circular has been addressed to the member secretaries of Ravindra Bhavans in Vasco, Margao, Sankhali, Curchorem, and Canacona, as well as the Rajiv Gandhi Kala Mandir in Ponda, the Kala Academy in Panaji, and the Tiatr Academy of Goa.

According to the directive, the move aims to promote a sense of national pride and cultural unity across all government-supported cultural activities in the state.

All the listed institutions have been asked to ensure strict compliance with the order, making the rendition of Vande Mataram a mandatory prelude to every official event or performance held at their respective venues until November 2026.
