MARGAO: The Guirdolim gram sabha on Sunday adopted a resolution asking the government to build a flyover or a subway at the railway crossing in the village.
Sarpanch Milagres de Chandor told Herald after the meeting that the resolution on the flyover or subway at the railway crossing will be sent to the government for necessary action. He said the gram sabha also adopted a resolution seeking to know the status of the road widening from the railway crossing. “Based on the gram sabha resolution, the panchayat would write to the district Collector on the status of road widening”, he said.
The sarpanch said that gram sabha members have demanded that the government set up a primary health centre at the government primary school. The panchayat will pursue the matter with the Health Minister to set up the health centre in the government primary school, Milagres added.
The meeting discussed the host of development works proposed to be taken up by the Panchayat body in the near future.
