Hauzel Haukhum, a 1974 batch AGMUT Cadre IAS Officer, will take over as Chief Secretary of Government of Goa on Wednesday.
Hauzel brings with him rich experience as Administrative Officer occupying various posts in Delhi and other states.
Prior to his posting as Chief Secretary of Goa, he was posted as Financial Commissioner in Government of Delhi.
Earlier he has held posts of Principal Secretary, Commissioner and Secretary under Government of Mizoram (1995 onwards) in various departments, such as Finance, Planning Programme implementation, Power & Electricity, PWD, Public Health Engineering, Rural Development, Health and Family Welfare, Industries, Food and Civil Supplies, Urban Development and Poverty Alleviation.
In August 2005 he became Chief Secretary of Mizoram and held this important post for four years.
Hauzel has also handled several posts in Delhi Administration which include Managing Director of Civil Supplies Corporation, Director of Vigilance, District Magistrate (North Delhi). He was also Collector of Daman and Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Heveli.
