Hindus pray for favourable Ayodhya verdict

As days are nearing for the much-debated and anticipated Supreme Court judgement, likely to divulge rights to one of the warring communities over disputed Ayodhya land, few Hindu activists in Canacona too joined with rest of their brethren to invoke divine intervention by organizing prayer meets at the community’s religious places in the taluka.
According to sources, the Supreme Court is likely to deliver its judgement on September 6 over the disputed Ayodhya land, which the Hindu community claims as birth place of Lord Ram, besides existence of a Hindu temple, before Babri Masjid belonging to a minority Muslims came into existence, which was eventually brought down by majority community activists in 1992.
Jitendra Amshekar, one of the Hindu Community member, spearheading prayers groups invoking God’s intervention to deliver a favourable Supreme Court verdict in the favour of Ram Temple, told Herald “The special prayers called ‘Hanuman Shakti Stotr’ will be narrated 11 times a day.”
“Besides, Hanuman Puja will be conducted before winding-up the prayers with distribution of Prasad. This will take place in about 40 religious places in Canacona taluka, including temples and Ghumtis,” he informed.
“It has commenced all over the country on August 16 and will continue for three months as per the suggestion of Sadhus, Sants and Mahants to thwart off all the difficulties,” added Amshekar.
“The Hindu community is facing a difficulty to erect a Ram temple at the place of his birth at Ayodhya,” he said.
“The struggle of Hindus over Ayodhya land which began several years ago, intensified in 1989 with a Kar Seva, after which several devotees in an unprecedented move brought down the Babri Masjid in 1982,” informed a source.
Three different major cases pertaining to claim of rights over Ayodhya land which were earlier brought in different courts over the years are clubbed together and heard by Special Bench of Supreme Court, for which judgment is expected on September 6.
Pratap Pagi, another Ram Bhakt, said: “Initially after collecting Rs 8 crore, further donations of Rs 40 crore are collected and spent to prepare the entire infrastructure needed to erect a magnificent Ram Temple at Ayodhya.”
“We are eagerly awaiting the delayed Supreme Court judgement, which we anticipate only in favour of Ram due to several proofs and historical facts produced to the court,” said Pagi.
Sources informed that some activists who take part in special invocation prayers for Ram Temple are Dr Diwakarji Velip, Satish Bhat, Ranghanath Komarpant, Pratap Pagi, Jitendra Amshekar, among several others.
“The Hanuman Shakti Stotr is one of the programmes of VHP and is not exclusively for Supreme Court judgement, but to remove all the hindrances blocking the construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhya,” reiterated Amshekar.
