HITWICKET LAUNCHES SQUAD RUSH WITH NEW 4-PLAYER CO-OP GAMEPLAY

Hitwicket has introduced Squad Rush, a new four-player team mode that significantly expands the game’s cooperative experience. Designed to encourage teamwork and strategic coordination, Squad Rush allows four players to join forces as a single squad and take on a series of increasingly difficult challenges.

In this new format, each squad member faces five deliveries, with the strike rotating among teammates throughout the match. All four players share a common pool of wickets, determined by the squad’s overall strength, and must work together to clear seven milestones. Each milestone requires players to score a specific number of runs within a limited number of balls, with the difficulty increasing as they progress.

The player on strike controls shot selection, choosing between scoring options such as 0, 1, 2, 4 or 6 runs based on probability. They can also activate special abilities to boost the team’s chances. However, one of the key features of Squad Rush is that every player can use powerups at any point during the game, regardless of whether they are currently batting. This ensures that all squad members remain actively involved from start to finish.

Squad Rush also introduces a unique twist to powerups. Instead of selecting their preferred abilities, players receive random powerups. Additionally, all powerups are fully replenished after Milestone 5, giving teams a fresh set of resources during the most challenging stages of the game.

A match concludes either when the squad loses all of its shared wickets or successfully completes all seven milestones. To strengthen teamwork, the mode includes built-in voice chat, allowing players to discuss tactics and make decisions in real time.

Players can create private lobbies to play with friends or join public lobbies to meet new teammates. The mode also features pre-defined chat bubbles, helping players communicate, learn new strategies and experiment with abilities from different lineups.
