MARGAO: A house in Navelim was burgled of gold by unknown persons on Wednesday.
According to the police, the house of one Govind Sawant Dessai was burgled on Wednesday whole the family was out. The burglary was executed in the afternoon wherein the culprits broke the latch of the main door to gain entry into the house and decamped with valuables.
The police informed that gold worth at least Rs 2 lakh was burgled from the house. The Maina Curtorim Police investigating.
This is the second incident of burglary in afternoon hours reported in a matter of few days.
