House lauds new NCP chief Jose Philip

The Goa Assembly on Tuesday congratulated newly elected State President of the NCP, Jose Philip D’Souza and wished him good luck in his new endeavour.
The motion congratulating was moved by Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginald Lawrence.
The Tourism Minister Nilkanth Halarnkar , the NCP MLA, wished his new president expressing confidence that he would take the party to new heights in Goa.
The Transport Minister Sudin Dhavalikar while congratulating D’Souza said the new president will put an end to Aya Ram Gaya Ram politics. He was aparantly hitting out at his president Pandurang Raut, who recently quit MGP to join NCP.
Others who wished D’Souza for his new role include Environment Minister Aleixo Sequeira, Fatorda MLA Damu Naik, Minister for Forest Filipe Neri Rodrigues.
The Chief Minister Digambar Kamat wished D’Souza saying he will work to strengthen the Congress –NCP ties. The congratulatory motion was unanimously accepted.
Film Producer: The House also congratulated film producer Dyaneshwar Govekar who has won Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
for his Marathi film, “Hello Gandhe Sir.” The motion was moved by Fatorda MLA Damu Naik.
