MARGAO: The Town and Country Planning Department of the Government of Goa has lodged a complaint with the Cuncolim police regarding illegal hill cutting carried out by unknown individuals at Survey No. 461/1 in Cuncolim, Salcete, Goa, prior to 16 September 2024.

The police stated that upon receiving the complaint from Rohan Gaonkar, Overseer of the Town and Country Planning Department, an offence has been registered under Section 17(A) of the TCP Act 1974.
Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Suhas Velip of the Cuncolim Police Station.
