Illegal hill cutting going on at St Andre: AAP

PANJIM: St Andre Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Prof Ramrao Wagh on Sunday brought to light a highly concerning issue surrounding a mega housing project that is engaging in flagrant illegality.

The project involves massive excavation on its property, causing significant damage to the traditional road that connects Old Goa to Mandur road on Kadamba hills. To make matters worse, the construction company is allegedly ‘unlawfully’ dumping all the excavated mud and rubble stones on the nearby Mandur and Azossim Comunidade land, without obtaining any necessary permissions.

Upon discovering these unlawful activities, Prof Wagh alerted the Mandur Village Panchayat, who then issued a stop work order to the construction company. However, shockingly, Wagh claimed that the excavation and dumping activities continues despite the stop work order in place.

“This blatant disregard for the law and the community’s concerns calls for immediate action from various authorities,” he said.
