MARGAO: All Goa Panchayat Democratic Forum (AGPDF) has questioned Chief Minister Pramod Sawant as to what has happened to his promise about increasing the monthly allowances to elected panchas and why they have not received payments for the last four months.
AGPDF has told Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho to act on the issue too and give and assurance on the topic on Floor of the House during the upcoming Assembly session.

“I have lost faith in the Goa BJP government, Chief Minister and the Panchayat Minister. They have failed in fulfilling the assurances that were given on the day of the induction function of elected representatives at Ravindra Bhavan, wherein was promised that the local bodies would get an increment in the monthly allowance/salary of sarpanchas and panchas,” said Joseph Vaz, veteran Rachol Sarpanch and AGPDF General Secretary.
