MARGAO, MARCH 28 The gram sabha of Macazana village Panchayat on Sunday resolved to approach the Salcete Mamlatdar on the question of inadequate kerosene quota and the closure of the Fair Price Shop in the village.

The gram sabha of Macazana village Panchayat on Sunday resolved to approach the Salcete Mamlatdar on the question of inadequate kerosene quota and the closure of the Fair Price Shop in the village.
The two issues figured at the gram sabha meeting, which also discussed the budget estimates for the year 2010-11.
Sarpanch Mariano D’Costa informed that that members drew attention of the gram sabha over the reduction of  kerosene quota for the card holders. He said the two kerosene dealers in the village have reduced the quota from four litres, adding that it has now been resolved to bring the matter to the notice of the Salcete mamlatdar for necessary action.
On the question of fair price shop, the Sarpanch said members demanded to know why the shop has been shut down and resolved to ask the Mamlatdar to shift the shop.
The Sarpanch informed that the gram sabha meeting gave its approval for the budget estimates put a Rs seven lakhs for the coming financial year.
