India Golden 50 to be launched soon

BSNL will shortly introduce a new plan, India Golden 50, for prepaid mobiles under which STD and locals can be made to any network for 50 paise per minute.
Announcing this and other new schemes, General Manager BSNL, Goa, G R Ravi mentioned that for the India Golden plan the customer would have to recharge with Rs 375 voucher every month.
Ravi said apart from reduction in mobile STD rates, BSNL had expanded the broadband services in rural areas from where the response has been encouraging. We have added 8,500 broadband connections, he claimed.
WI-MAX: He said another facility that people could look forward to was the Wi-Max, which was at an advanced stage of testing. As soon as the testing stage is over and we are satisfied the facility will be announced, he added.
