IPB clears 7 projects with investment of Rs 463 cr

PANJIM: The Investment Promotion Board (IPB) cleared seven projects, which will bring in investments of Rs 463 cr and generate 929 jobs.

PANJIM: The Investment Promotion Board (IPB) cleared seven projects, which will bring in investments of Rs 463 cr and generate 929 jobs.
The IPB meeting, which was chaired by Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar, cleared two pharma units, four industries at Tuem, Verna, Dhargal and Shiroda besides a hotel project in Cortalim.
The largest investment of Rs 344.95 cr will come from Cipla, which will expand two of its units in Verna and will provide employment to 249 people.
Himachal Futuristic Communications Ltd expansion project at Panchwadi Industrial Estate, has been cleared by the board. The company will invest Rs 39 cr and will provide employment to 400 persons.
Among other projects are a new fishmeal protection unit at Barcem, Quepem by Goan Marine Implex Pvt Ltd, which will invest Rs 28 cr and provide employment to 100 people.
Arbor Brewing Co Pvt (India) Ltd’s beer brewing project at Dhargal, Pernem will bring in an investment of Rs 11 crore and provide employment to 50 persons.
Oasis Alcohol India Ltd plans for a new pharma unit at Tuem Industrial Estate, which has been cleared at an investment of Rs 25 cr. The unit will give employment to 50 people.
Another industrial unit Sai Krupa Enterprises at Honda of electric panels has been cleared by the IPB. The unit will bring in investment of Rs 9.5 cr and employ 30 people.
Besides this, a hotel project by Saish Pai, at Cortalim, has also been cleared, which will employ 50 people and bring in investment of Rs 6.5 cr.
