VALPOI: The anganwadi in Barazaan village has been without a teacher for the last four months.
The government is yet to fill the vacant post till date as the earlier teacher retired from service four months ago. The villagers have demanded that the Government fill the vacant teacher’s post at the aganwadi.
According to Barazaan villagers, since October last year, there is no teacher at the aganwadi as the earlier aganwadi teacher who was posted there, retired. The Women and Child Development Department has not posted a teacher in her place at the aganwadi.
At present, a helper is handling the affairs of the aganwadi and is also teaching the children. However, she is undergoing the hardship as she claimed that she has several other works including cooking and cleaning.
In all there are 23 children in the aganwadi, who hail from Barazaan and Patwal villages.
