Kadamba Bus Veers Off Road into Fields at Chandor; Driver Missing from Scene

A Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC) bus travelling from Margao to Kalem went off the road and plunged into a trench near Gali, Chandor, on Wednesday after the driver reportedly lost control while negotiating a turn.

According to eyewitnesses, the bus had taken an alternate route to avoid a traffic jam on the Curchorem–Margao bypass. While navigating the narrow turn, another driver allegedly offered to guide the Kadamba driver, but due to unfamiliarity with the route, the bus veered off the road and into the trench.
