According to Canacona police, Nicolaas Rietveld from Amsterdam, Netherlands, complained that on Tuesday, some person stole his shoulder bag containing one I-phone, passport and wallet containing Rs 6,000 and 15 Euros, all worth Rs 50,000, from his motorcycle parked outside a restaurant at Polem.
Police further informed that Nicolaas had kept his bag in the two-wheeler while he was sitting in a bar-n-restaurant with his friend at Pollem.
Police following the details provided to them by the foreign national rounded up a suspect on Wednesday and arrested Gajanan. He was remanded in police custody.
