PANJIM: Leader of the Opposition Chandrakant Kavlekar claims he has not hidden anything from the Lokayukta, and the declaration of assets and liabilities will be filed soon.
Kavlekar speaking to Herald said that after becoming the opposition leader his work load has increased and due to that there was a delay in submitting the declaration before Lokayukta. “I have not hidden anything from the Lokayukta, it is just delayed due to my busy schedule. It was not done on purpose. I will submit the declaration by Monday,” he said.
Kavlekar further said that he was busy with the recent cases which were filed and the inquiries that he had to attend before the investigation agencies.
Kavlekar, along with two other serving MLAs, figures in the list of 12 defaulters.
who have failed to submit the list of assets and liabilities before the Lokayukta of financial year ending March 2017.
