Prathamesh committed suicide on October 25 and his body was found on October 27. The FIR was registered on November 3 and the lady constables were arrested the next day. The complaint was filed by one Mahadev Naik who is attached to IRB. We submitted our arguments and the court was convinced.” The two lady constables had attempted to end their lives by jumping from the first floor of the Central Jail at Colvale.

They were rushed to North Goa District Hospital where they received treatment and discharged later.
