PANJIM: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted to investigate land grabbing cases has yet again arrested the mastermind Mohammed Suhail alias Michael Fernandes and two others.
According to the police, those who were arrested along with Michael Fernandes were Royson Rodrigues and Steven D’Souza.

All three were arrested and released on bail by the SIT several times prior to the arrest made on Thursday.
Large chunks of land were grabbed by the scamsters by forging old documents to transfer land on their names. The Enforcement Directorate has also initiated action in the scam by provisionally attaching crores worth assets.
Goa Police have registered as many as 76 cases of land grab across the state during the last five and half years. Last year, when the three accused were arrested, the Goa Police had requested all the actual owners of the properties to come forward and help police to nab the remaining culprits so as to make the case watertight.
