VASCO: That the Mormugao municipality failed to undertake proper pre-monsoon works in Vasco was obvious when large parts of the town was flooded after a moderate rainfall on Wednesday.
The most affected places are Vasco police station, Vadem, El Monte, Municipal building, Court area and Swatantrapath. Due to water clogging near the court, a four-wheeler veered off the road and landed in a drain. Similarly, a truck landed in the drain at the same stretch of road.
