The Loliem Village Panchayat Gram Sabha has unanimously resolved to reject all 13 proposed projects—including the controversial Film City—planned on the village’s plateaus. These projects, which are to be developed on Communidade land, have faced strong local opposition.
As part of the resolution, the Panchayat will formally write to government authorities and project proponents, urging them to withdraw the proposals. Villagers have also expressed readiness to pursue legal action if necessary.

In addition, residents have appealed to the Governor of Goa, along with other officials including the Chief Secretary, the South Goa Collector, and local Communidade and Panchayat bodies, seeking their intervention to protect the plateau lands.
