VASCO: Several Indian National Congress (INC) members from Dabolim block joined All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) in Goa on Wednesday. Former MLA and TMC leader Lavoo Mamledar claimed that TMC is the only strong option left with the Goans to dethrone BJP from Goa.
He said that people have witnessed the BJP’s modus operandi and are unhappy with its performance and governance.

Mamledar claimed that many people from several parties are in touch with them and many prominent persons would be joining TMC in Goa soon. He also said that TMC under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee is strong and they will contest elections independently and will win.
Dr Shantanu Sen, Rajya Sabha MP said that BJP has totally failed in giving better roads, jobs etc. “Why BJP was unable to bring basic development in Goa?” questioned Sen. “Twin engine govt of BJP has failed to fulfil the expectations of the people and the world famous tourist destination like Goa is still deprived of development which was needed,” added Sen
“People are fed up with BJP and if we see recent victory of TMC leader Mamata Banerjee, it shows how strong and good governance prevails in West Bengal. If TMC wins in Goa then all pro-people development will take place. There won’t be any high command to dictate terms but all the development will take place,” said Sen.
