Goa Protocol Minister Mauvin Godinho has urged airlines and private airport operators not to divert existing passenger traffic from Dabolim Airport, stressing the need to protect the airport’s established connectivity.
Godinho said the focus should instead be on developing new destinations and generating additional passenger traffic for Goa rather than shifting existing traffic between the state’s two airports.

He stressed that both Dabolim and Mopa airports should function in a healthy and complementary manner, with their operations contributing to Goa’s economy and benefiting the people of the state.
The minister’s remarks come amid discussions over the distribution of flight operations and passenger traffic between Dabolim Airport and Manohar International Airport at Mopa.
