The residents, who have formed the ‘United Citizens of Chorao’ (UCC) to press for their demand have complained that the BJP party had assured them that if Anant Shet was elected as MLA, a bridge connecting Chorao-Madel and Salvador-de-Mundo would be fulfilled. “Our MLA had also distributed a special manifesto’s for the people of Chorao whose first line stated ‘Construction of Chorao bridge within 2 years.’ Every time our MLA keeps saying that the paperwork is going on.” a member said.
Meet to press for Chorao bridge
CHORAO: Residents of Chorao will convene a meeting at St Bartholomew's School Hall, Chorao, on November 9, at 4.30 pm, to discuss their demands for a Chorao bridge.
