MAPUSA: A short circuit caused a minor fire in a house near Don Bosco School, at Naika Vaddo, Verla-Canca, on Friday.
The loss is pegged at Rs 20,000 approximately. The Mapusa Fire Station was informed about the fire incident at around 8.45 am when smoke was seen emitting from the house.
Fire personnel managed to prevent further loss that could have incurred to the tune of Rs 2 lakh.
