MAPUSA: Rina Shirodkar from Miramar has won the prestigious Innovative Artist 2019, an international award by Kalaakar Foundation and Art World Centre Dubai held recently in Dubai stated a press release issued by the Disability Rights Association of Goa (DRAG). She has also won the National Iconic Women’s Awards 2019 presented by Infopark Education Society in association with B.H.S. Entertainment Chandigarh held recently in Chandigarh. Rina is speech impaired but that has not stopped her excelling in the field of art. She was the only person with disability in both the competitions.
Speaking at the award function in Dubai Rina said “I am honoured to receive this prestigious international award as an Innovative Artist 2019 by Kalaakar Foundation and Art World Centre Dubai. I would like to thank the jury for giving me this award. I am also very grateful and thank all those who have been a part of my journey or have been with me throughout my journey,” she said.
