MARGAO: Former Chief Minister and Navelim MLA Luizinho Faleiro on Friday distributed masks and sanitisers to residents of the Housing Board at Rumdamol to mark the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, which is observed as Anti-Terrorism Day all over the country.
Luizinho pointed out that Rajiv Gandhi lived an exemplary life and was martyred for the sake of the country and its unity.
On the occasion, he distributed masks and sanitisers to 1,500 needy people from the village and thanked the panchayat members for assisting him with this work.
Luizinho appreciated the Collector in accepting his suggestion to have vaccination done at the village level and urged the people of Rumdamoll to get vaccinated as and when the camp is held for two days in their village and appealed to the panchayat members to gather the people for the vaccination.
