MMC Adds 12 New Waste Management Vehicles in Vasco with CSR Support

In a significant move to strengthen waste management operations, the Mormugao Municipal Council in Vasco has inducted a fleet of 12 new garbage collection and utility vehicles.

The handover ceremony was held in the presence of Vasco MLA Krishna Daji Salkar and Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar, who highlighted the importance of improving sanitation infrastructure in the region.

The newly added fleet includes various utility vehicles, including a JCB, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and waste handling capacity. Chairperson Girish Borkar and councillors were lauded for their efforts in promoting scientific waste management practices.

The initiative was supported under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by JSW Group and Goa Shipyard Limited, marking a major step toward ensuring a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Vasco.
