MMC Meeting on Formula 4 Race Ends in Chaos as Councillors Walk Out; Chairperson Halts Event Works

The special meeting of the Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) convened to discuss the upcoming Formula 4 race ended abruptly after councillors staged a walkout in protest. The councillors expressed anger over the administration’s failure to provide clear answers to their questions regarding permissions, safety measures, and logistics for the event.

The walkout disrupted the proceedings, forcing Chairperson Girish Borker to adjourn the meeting midway. In a decisive move, Borker directed municipal staff to immediately halt all ongoing works related to the Formula 4 race until further clarification and approval are obtained.
