MARGAO: Officials of the Legal Metrology on Wednesday raided a mobile shop in the Gandhi market and seized mobiles, CDs and other items all worth around Rs 1.10 lakh.
Legal Metrology inspector Arun Panchwadkar told the media that the goods have been seized since they did not carry the MRP nor the name of the manufacturer on the box. He said the officials have acted against the mobile shop after inspection revealed that the owner was selling the products in violation of rules. The owner, however, maintained that they cannot be penalised.
