MARGAO: South Goa Member of Parliament Francisco Sardinha on Thursday cautioned his own Congress party and said the episode of Luizinho Faleiro should open the eyes of the High Command and put the house in order.
Addressing the media persons at Margao Congress MP said like him, Luizinho Faleiro also was also not in favour of Girish Chodankar to remain as a State president.
According to Sardinha, the entry of Trinamool Congress in Goa, besides other political parties, is like a three days Carnival, and it won’t affect Congress party in Goa.
Saddened by Luizinho’s exit he maintained that it is the voters and workers who kept the Congress party alive in Goa and not the leaders.
“Leaders are not born. One may have qualities of leaders but the voters and workers make the leaders. People of Goa and more especially the voters and workers should not feel bad due to Luizinho leaving the party,” said Sardinha.
Reacting to the recent political developments he said Trinamool Congress is like a jumping frog.
The MP also charged the BJP government and said that the government formed by the BJP is not of people but the government of leaders.
“People had given the majority to the Congress party and not to BJP. They formed the government by borrowing the leaders from other parties,” he alleged.
