PANJIM: A Nigerian who had allegedly stabbed to death a fellow national on Saturday evening in Arambol is still at large. Pernem Police Inspector Sandesh Chodankar said that police teams have already been sent to trace the culprit.
He informed that the fight broke out between the two Nigerians as the murdered person did not greet the accused while greeting all others. He said that an accomplice Agu Frank Godwin who was arrested on Saturday evening has been remanded in police custody for six days. He said that accused arrived in Goa four days ago from Mumbai.
The post-mortem on the body of victim has not been conducted yet. Choadankar said that police have not recovered the passport and other documents as they were unaware of the place the victim was residing in Goa.
It may be recalled Nigerian national stabbed to death by another fellow Nigerian on Saturday evening at Girkarwada in Arambol near a banyan tree.
According to eye witnesses the main accused King Fley alias K C stabbed twice Prince Ekene on his back.
Pernem Police registered the case of murder following a complaint from Johny Young Ekikhaile, a former head of Nigerian community in Goa. Following the stabbing one of the gang members took the victim by a car to a private hospital at Anjuna and left the hospital. The doctors at the hospital declared the victim dead on the arrival.
