MARGAO: The Commissioner of Police, Kollam city, Kerala, has sought assistance of the district police chief, south, to nab an alleged killer involved in the murder of a police driver in June last year.
A team of the Kerala police arrived at Margao police headquarters and handed over a copy of the request seeking assistance to apprehend the alleged accused Antony alias Adu Anthony, the accused in the murder of a police driver of Paripally police station, Maniyan Pillai.
The Kerala police stated that the accused had allegedly stabbed the police driver and an assistant sub-inspector Joy while they intercepted the vehicle on June 25, 2012 at 12.35 am during their night patrol duty.
The police driver had died on the spot, while ASI Joy had sustained serious injuries on his abdomen.
