Navelim locals confront power engineer

Residents of Navelim on Monday confronted electricity Executive Engineer Peter Fernandes over the frequent power failure at Mandopa, Ravora, Dongorim, Cruz Nagar, Nagmodem and other areas of the village.
They drew attention of the Power official that not a single day passes without a power failure in the village, causing hardships to the power consumers.
The Residents appealed to the officials to solve the power problem before the onset of monsoons.
Santosh Raikar said the residents failed to understand why the power fails frequently when the rains have not started as yet.
Executie Engineer, Peter Fernandes later assured the residents that he would depute an engineer to take stock of the situation. He said the engineer would ascertain why the village is facing low voltage situation.
