New Zealand continued their dominance over India, clinching their maiden ODI series win in India with a 41-run victory in the third ODI at Indore on Sunday. After whitewashing India 3-0 in the Test series in 2024, the Kiwis sealed the three-match ODI series 2-1.
Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips laid the foundation with commanding centuries as New Zealand posted 337/8 in their 50 overs. The duo added a match-defining 219-run partnership after early strikes by Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana had reduced New Zealand to 5/2.

In reply, India faltered early and never fully recovered. Virat Kohli fought a lone battle, scoring 124 to register his 54th ODI century, but support was limited. Nitish Kumar Reddy (52) and Harshit Rana (52) added brief resistance, but India fell short once Kohli was dismissed in the 46th over.
Earlier, India captain Shubman Gill won the toss and opted to chase, making one change by bringing in Arshdeep Singh in place of Prasidh Krishna.
