News of attack on Rly clerk goes viral

Mormugao Police say no complaint has been registered with them of such crime

Vasco: An Indian railway official was attacked on duty by some unknown person on Sunday night at around 11.30 pm. 
Although the news went viral on social media groups, Mormugao Police say that no complaint has been registered with them of such crime.
As per the circulated message on social media, an unknown person suddenly entered the cabin of the railway official on Sunday night and is learnt to have attacked the on duty clerk working at Mormugao Port Trust Railway Station, near the Baina Church. The miscreant entered the cabin all of a sudden and hit the railway official with a stone twice and fled. The employee was taken to Chicalim Cottage Hospital in a 108 Ambulance and later shifted to GMC Bambolim. 
Vasco PI Pravin Pawar said, “We have not received any complaint of assault from anyone. We are not informed about the stone pelting incident or any head injury sustained by a railway official.” 
He added that Railways official has requested them to undertake police patrolling near his office cabin at night so that such incidents don’t occur.
