Sanquelim Chaitri Utsav to be plastic free

BICHOLIM: On the line with Bodgeshwar Zatra at Mapusa, the Bicholim Mamlatdar has decided to make the five days Chaitri Utsav, at Vithalapur, Sanquelim, a plastic free. 
A special meeting in this regard was held by Mamlatdar Pravinjai Pandit with all the stake holders. It was decided that the Chaitri Utsav, which will be held from April 15 to 20, will be made a plastic free. 
During the meeting, discussions were also held on several issues including banning stalls of gobimanchurian, setting up shops away from main road, saving Walvanti River from pollution, restricting use of loudspeaker at night and proper parking. 
Pandit urged upon the devasthan and utsav samiti to observe proper guidelines. The meet was attended by Sagar Jawdekar, Shailesh Fatarpekar, Mahesh Naik, Pratap Naik and traffic police officers.
