Nigerian held with drugs

Calangute Police on Thursday arrested a 28-year-old Nigerian national on charges of possessing illegal drugs worth Rs 1.10 lakh at Saligao.
According to Calangute Police, Ugochukwu R Nwokeka was arrested on charges of possessing Cocaine, weighing 11 grammes.
Police further informed that the illegal drugs were seized on a tip-off while the Nigerian national was waiting for potential customers at Saligao near the Church.
“The raid was carried out at about 6 pm by Calangute police team led by PSI Gaurish Parab,” informed police.
A criminal offence No 34 under Section 21(b) of the NDPS Act has been registered and PSI Gaurish Parab is investigating the case.
