Nigerian murder suspect remanded

PORVORIM: Pravin Mandrekar (31), who was arrested in connection with the Nigerian murder case on Saturday, has been remanded to 10 days police custody.

Mapusa Police had arrested Mandrekar of Assagao, a second person in connection with the murder of the Nigerian national, after he surrendered before the police on Saturday.

According to police, the suspect was produced before the Mapusa Judicial Magistrate First Class for remand on Sunday, who remanded Mandrekar to 10 days police custody.

Mapusa Police had earlier arrested Surendra Pol from his residence at Arpora on November 6, as he was one of the 11 suspects in the murder. He has been remanded to 10 days police custody for interrogation.
