PANJIM: BJP Goa has denied that the State lacks leadership stating the party does not face a dearth of leaders but suggested that the existing lot be promoted.
“We need to promote them but BJP has no dearth of leaders,” AYUSH Minister Shripad Naik said responding to media questions about Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar ruing a lack of leadership in the State and insisting for a proper one. He was addressing joint press conference regarding the Centre’s move to hike the minimum support price to paddy by Rs 200 per quintal claiming this move will encourage people to take up farming.
“Union government has increased MSP for paddy due to which there will be increase in the profits from the fields. A farmer was earning, on an average Rs 2-3 lakh annually from his paddy field. The profit will increase further now.”
