Taleigao, student harassment case as the school headmistress, accused of harassing students, approached the court challenging her termination as recommended by the commission.
The commission had recommended her termination to the education department last year. The notices are returnable on February 2.
It may be recalled that the Parents Teachers Association of the school had demanded suspension of the ‘in charge’ of the school Maria Zita Afonso, alleging that she has been harassing students.
Six parents had filed a complaint with the Panjim police against the headmistress since they claimed that a nine-year-old boy who is studying in Class III was abused and assaulted at school by Afonso.
Panjim police had registered a first information report (FIR) against her for alleged mental and physical harassment of students.
