Panjim: The 42nd anniversary of the English edition of O Heraldo was celebrated on October 10, 2025, with a solemn thanksgiving mass at the Capela de São Tomé in São Tomé, Panjim. The mass was presided over by Fr. George Fernandes, Director of the Diocesan Centre for Lay Apostolate (DCLA), who highlighted O Heraldo’s deep connection with the people of Goa.
Fr. Fernandes described O Heraldo as “a morning star of hope for many Goenkars,” recognizing its enduring contribution to journalism and public service.

The celebration was marked by a beautifully arranged choir led by the newspaper’s staff, who rendered hymns in four languages; English, Konkani, Latin, and Portuguese, adding a rich cultural and spiritual touch to the occasion.
The thanksgiving mass reflected O Heraldo’s continued commitment to truth, faith, and the Goan community as it celebrated over four decades of impactful storytelling.
