MARGAO: The Legal Meteorology, Weights & Measures Department and Indian Oil officials in a drive to check the cylinders have brought in cylinder delivery vehicles of various agencies to check the weight of the cylinders.
The inquiry has begun after the delivery men of the vehicle of Damodar Gas Agency from Margao were found pilfering gas from cylinders. The officials held a joint operation on Thursday in North Goa which continued on Friday in South Goa. The officials have got cylinder delivery vehicles from Margao gas, Aurora gas and on Friday brought the vehicle of Kadam Gas agency. The officials have found broken, misleading, and non verified weighing machines with the Kadam gas agency and have booked the agency for the violation.
