MARGAO: Following a strong protest in the morning by around 400 Muslim including many women, Margao Town Police arrested 27-year-old Sai Prasad Naik resident of Davorlim for posting extremely vulgar and obscene messages targeting Muslim women on Facebook.
On Tuesday some Muslims had gathered near Margao Municipal Council building to protest against the Citizens Amendment Act and video of Muslim women protesting were flashed on Facebook with very vulgar and objectionable comments.
Hence the Muslim community gathered at Margao Police Station Wednesday morning to protest and demand action against the person responsible for that. Acting upon the complaint lodged by Asma Sayed from Borda, police arrested Sai Prasad under Sections 234, 354, 509 and 295A of the IPC.
