PANJIM, AUG 25
Goa Children’s Court today sentenced 27-year old labourer for one year imprisonment and sought fine of Rs one lakh for sexually abusing five year girl, in February 2009.
The accused Mahubali Harnali and the victim both are from Taleigao.
Accused is been booked under Section 354 of Indian Panel Code (IPC) and Section 8 of Goa children’s act.
The Court has asked accused to deposit Rs 25,000 in the name of the victim in a nationalized bank, which would be given to her when she becomes a major. In case he fails to do so the accused will have to undergo six months more imprisonment.
