Online Gambling Racket Busted in Colva, Four Arrested

An alleged online gambling racket operating out of a villa in Colva, Goa, was busted by police, leading to the arrest of four individuals. The raid was carried out late on April 25 at a property located in Florida Garden, Vanelim, following specific intelligence inputs.According to police officials, the accused were found allegedly accepting illegal online bets from within the premises. During the operation, authorities seized two laptops, six mobile phones, and other equipment collectively valued at approximately ₹3.10 lakh.A case has been registered under relevant provisions of the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act. The four accused were taken into custody in the early hours of April 26.Police later confirmed that the individuals have been released on bail. However, further investigation into the racket is ongoing and is being conducted under the supervision of senior officials.
