PANJIM: Days after its Vice President Babi Bagkar accused Congress president Luizinho Faleiro of fixing election tickets, the Congress on Wednesday blamed its opponents for misguiding their leaders and trying to create a rift and misunderstanding within the party leadership.
“The other parties and leaders are disturbed with Congress’ organizational progress and its strength to promote young faces. This has not gone well with our opponents and hence they are trying to instigate and misguide our leaders creating a rift and revolts,” Congress Mahila committee general secretary Pratima Coutinho told the media.
She said the Congress is united and that working towards strengthening its base across the State. “This is not the time for internal fights and controversies, the party is united and strongly stands together,” Coutinho said.
Last week Bagkar had alleged that the Congress President is welcoming the old enemy back into the party and also appointing RSS members to party posts.
