Outdated Emergency Number on Gas Pipeline Safety Board in Panjim Raises Public Safety Concerns

A serious public safety concern has emerged in Panjim after it was found that a Public Safety Board installed by Goa Natural Gas Private Limited displays an outdated and disconnected emergency contact number.

The safety board, located at the entrance of EDC Patto Plaza opposite Heera Petrol Pump, warns of an underground high-pressure gas pipeline in the area. However, the listed BSNL landline number (2412933) was reportedly disconnected on April 3, 2024.
