PANJIM: Mayor of Panjim Yatin Parekh owns movable and immovable assets worth Rs 5.50 crore. Parekh who is contesting on a Congress ticket against Opposition Leader Manohar Parrikar filed his nomination on Thursday.
As per the affidavit by filed by him before the returning officer, his total investment in movable assets that include bank deposits jewellery and other assets is Rs 78.94 lakh while his wife owns jewellery worth Rs 15.30 lakh.
He also owns four cars — Hyundai Santro, Honda Civic, Hyundai Accent and I 20.
His investment in commercial properties is worth Rs 4.56 crore that also include one flat in Caranzalem and fifty percent share in a flat at West Coast Residency in Porvorim besides investment in non-agriculture land and investment in commercial buildings worth Rs 2.50 crore as per current market value.
His liabilities are Rs 85.88 lakh including his housing loan worth Rs 28.83 lakh taken from State Bank of
